Family owned rural property in Orielton with aim of land and ecosystem improvement, in particular shelter belts.  The western bank of Orielton Rivulet is part of our property, it is particularly infested with box-thorn. We have begun weed eradication. Once the box-thorn is under control, I would like to see the bank of Orielton Rivulet re-vegetated in native shrubs and trees. As well as being an aesthetic improvement, this would provide native habitat and create a run-off filter, protecting the rivulet and Orielton Lagoon from silt turnoff and nutrient leaching from our farming operations.
