Our Annual General Meeting is rapidly approaching, and all members are encouraged to attend.
It will be held at 4.30 pm on Friday 15 September in the Chapel Room (first floor) of the New Sydney Hotel, 87 Bathurst St, Hobart.
There's the usual business that an AGM has to deal with, to ensure we continue to operate legally, plus some major changes to our Constitution as part of our move to a new governance structure. However this will not diminish the opportunities, and the need, for passionate people in the community to be formally involved in the organisation.
In fact we expect that our new structure will lead to greater understanding and involvement in community Landcare. It will include a skills-based Board for management and a Members Council for representation. If you've never considered a role in Landcare Tasmania, then now might be the time. There's fun to be had and fantastic people to work with, plus you'll be helping to continue to strengthen and grow community Landcare in Tasmania.

Over the last year, the Landcare Tasmania's Committee and Executive have been reviewing the governance arrangements of the organisation. Our current structure consists of a General Committee of up to 13 members elected at the AGM, who in turn elect an Executive Committee of 4. Our advice indicates that:
