Opportunity to be part of our new Board

Landcare Tasmania is modernising its management structure, with a move towards a skills-based Board for management and a Members Council for representing the interests of the thousands of Landcarers across Tasmania.

Expressions of interest are now being sought for appointment to the Board.  Read on to find out if this is role for you.

Landcare Tasmania's management structure is changing to meet the expectations and regulatory environment of not-for-profit organisations, and to reduce the risks to members under our current arrangements. Our AGM in September will consider a new constitution to achieve this.

Our new Board will consist of a healthy mix of backgrounds to take Landcare in Tasmania to a new level. Skills and experience we are seeking include:

  • Community Landcare
  • Financial planning, management and accounting
  • Board and organisational governance
  • Workplace health and safety
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing, promotions and communications
  • Risk management
  • Strategic plan
  • Operation of Deductible Gift Recipient funds

If you have skills in any of these areas, then now might be the time to consider a role in Landcare Tasmania. Positions are honorary and you'll be working alongside a great bunch of people committed to furthering community Landcare in the State.

You can download the skills assessment form HERE.

Expressions of interest should be received by Tuesday15 August.
