Friends of Sandy Bay Rivulet
About This Group
The Friends of Sandy Bay Rivulet is an active group whose aim is to conserve,� restore,� improve and celebrate the cultural,� historical,� social and environmental values of the rivulet and its immediate environs.
We work co-operatively with Hobart City Council,� government agencies,� industry,� land owners,�� schools and the community in the interests of the area.� In particular we undertake�revegetation of the stream banks and the riparian zones.
We also help gather and assess information on the ecology of the rivulet including the flora, fauna and water quality. � We have regular community newsletters�and occasional general meetings with speakers on issues of general interest.

Working Bee Details
Our Working Bees are generally held every third Sunday of each month, from 9.30- 11.30 am.
We have volunteer insurance cover and our work involves weeding, planting and clearing in the riparian zone of the Sandy Bay Rivulet in several different locations.
