Port Esperance Coastcare Group

About This Group

Port Esperance Coast Care Inc. is a group of 18 dedicated people from Dover and the surrounding area who regularly get together to protect and manage our precious coastal environment. Port Esperance and Big Roaring Beach foreshore areas.

Our work is varied - from stabilising the dunes on the Dover foreshore, water monitoring a local lagoon, working with the Huon Valley Council on joint venture projects to general weeding and revegetating.

We often follow our working bees with a BBQ or a cuppa and cake.

The photo shows a working bee where our group combined with the coast care group from Castle Forbes Bay to finish off a major revegetation project on Knobbys Point.  (Image by  Cath de Little).
