Our new project officer (and winner of the 2023 Young Tasmanian Landcarer Award)  Luke Cooper has been featured in the Jan 12 edition of the Tasmanian Country for all of his incredible Landcare work. 

Luke is a long term committee member of the UTAS Landcare Society and the founder of Strahan-based group Friends of the Henty. Luke is an avid amateur botanist and bird-lover and is passionate about conserving and improving biodiversity in Tasmania.

He holds a Bachelor of Science with a Mathematics major and now plans to bring his analytical skills to conservation work. Luke was also recently awarded the Young Tasmanian Landcarer Award for his active engagement in environmental conservation activities throughout Tasmania.

As a Project Officer, Luke will be working on our Landscape Restoration and Community Outreach Programs - come along to one of our 2024 Outreach Events and you might catch him in action!
