Tramway Hill Landcare - June working bee

Winter doesn't deter them!

Tramway Hill Landcare held their latest working be on 25 June at the Neirinna Creek Reserve at Margate.

A solid morning's work saw some pretty decent results from this small but committed bunch of Landcarers.

This month's working bee focused on removing juvenile hemlock plants from various locations in the reserve, and also the important work of preparing the site for planting on National Tree Day on July 30.

Work like clearing, preparing holes and marking out stakes.

The group also carries out lots of work between events and, with National Tree Day coming up, is keen to hear from volunteers to help plant several hundred plants donated by Kingborough Council and Fifteen Trees.  Plus there will be a community BBQ afterwards, sponsored by the group, Banjos Margate and Fifteen Trees.
