UTAC Gould's Lagoon birding trip
We invite you all to join us at Goulds Lagoon! This is a wildlife sanctuary in 1938 at the request of the then owner Arthur Gould. It is a particularly important refuge for water birds which use the area for resting, feeding and breeding. This is a gentle walk around the lagoon edge. A viewing platform can be accessed by a boardwalk across the water with interpretive signage to give an insight into the bird life at the lagoon.
We will be doing bird surveys at various spots of the lagoon. Please bring warm clothes as the site can be a bit exposed. Download eBird app and create an account to keep record of your samples.
We are meeting at TUU at 8.30am and we should be back around 11.30am. Bring water, snacks and if you have them - binoculars and field guide books.
Please make sure to comment on the pinned post on facebook to say that you are coming so that we can keep track of drivers and attendees for carpooling.
