Join us in our monthly working bees around Marion Bay. We're an active group with regular activities, meetings, and social BBQ's. Our work involves in weeding, monitoring activities and more.
Earlier in July we took on new infestation of Spanish heath out towards the end of the lower northern point below Cape Frederick Hendrick. We will return to the original sites to complete follow up and if we have time extend our search for other sites (should they exist).
These plants are growing deep in the bush. Most can be hand pulled. Larger ones may need to be cut and dabbed with herbicide. Those of you who have joined us in previous trips will know what to expect. Uneven terrain, off track searching. Get there early and grab yourself a (really good) coffee from the Lanterns across the road. Afterwards there will be opportunity for some afternoon tea / glass of wine at the inimitable Bangor Vineyard Shed.
What to bring: Gloves for hand pulling weeds, warm clothes, drink and lunch
