Southern Beaches Landcare & Coastcare General Meeting

Why not join us for our regular monthly meeting.

There's always a lot of Landcare and Coastcare going on, and new people wanting to join in are always welcome.

Join us to find out about our working bees, which tend to be ad-hoc:

  • Southern Beaches Landcare Coastacare working bees (contact Gwen) and clean-up days (contact Lorraine)
  • Primrose Sands working bees (Chris - 0419 575017)

At present Boneseed weed is flowering and easy to spot. We need your help to follow up in the key areas that volunteers have kept clear of Boneseed - in our neighbourhood reserves, at Red Ochre Beach and Blue Lagoon, in the dunes from the East Street track heading toward Carlton and behind the dunes at Park Beach. Remember to pull out a few plants on your regular walking tracks. You can leave the plants where you pull them but remember
to press the ground with your foot to reduce the chance of a new weed seed germinating. You can help yourself to weed pamphlets from the Landcare bookshelf in the orange room at Okines.
