Friends of Coningham Nature Recreation Area
The Friends of Coningham Nature Recreation Area is involved in caring for this 500 hectare reserve about 35 km south of Hobart. The reserve is significant for its biodiversity values, including for the critically endangered Forty-spotted Pardalote and the Swift Parrot.
The group is particularly active in controlling Spanish Heath, which is one of the major threats to the reserve, and also with the local Snug Primary School.
Working bees are held most months. Contact the group to get involved.
