Friends of Maatsuyker Island (FOMI) works in partnership with the Parks and Wildlife Service to maintain the cultural and natural heritage values of Maatsuyker Island, home of Australia's southern-most lighthouse. Our activities include:assistance with the development of management strategies and works programs, historical heritage preservation and maintenance, nature conservation, weed eradication, and assisting with the Maatsuyker Island volunteer caretaker program,.

Annual working bees (March, November), community events (e.g., Wooden Boat Festival), annual dinner and AGM.
