National Tree Day - plant a tree on Melukerdee Country
Join us to celebrate National Tree Day. We aim to plant local natives to regenerate a conservation area that was formerly a niten plantation.
Open from 11-2, come and plant a single tree and have a cuppa and a chat, or get stuck in, it's up to you! Kids welcome. No pets allowed due to conservation guidelines.
The site has parking (a wide gravel driveway) and a composting toilet. We will have a fire and a billy going.
The terrain is hilly and the ground is very uneven so wear sturdy shoes. There will be some walking (a couple of hundred metres) to get to the planting site. We have some tools but BYO if you have any favourites. Also BYO gloves, and a mug if you'd like to stay for a drink.
If the weather is really awful, we may postpone so leave your contact details if you want a confirmation or feel free to contact me on the day to check.
