At least 125 people gathered at the Community Hub on Hobart's Queens Domain to start off their weekend at the 25th Anniversary Tasmanian Community Landcare Conference. Featuring members of NITA Education who gave a Welcome to Country and Cleansing Ceremony, Lisa Cawthen who led the nighttime bat walk and talk, and all our wonderful members, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, and families mingling, sharing landcaring tales and wisdoms, and filling their bellies with some scrumptious wood-fired pizza!
Landcarers, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers gathered from across the State.
As the sun set began to set, members of NITA performed an official Welcome to Country.
As night fell, Lisa Cawthen led a keen bunch on a bat walk along the edge of the Domain's woodland, shared innovations in bat monitoring, and answered all of our intriguing questions.
