2025 Outreach Events

One of Landcare Tasmania's key member services is to provide opportunities for training and networking. 

Thanks to successful funding applications and generous donations, we are running a series of events and information sessions across the state, helping to empower you and your communities to look after your patch with upskilling and networking opportunities. 

Have you got feedback? We constantly collect feedback on the types of training our members and supporters would be interested in. 

Events part of our Education program are below in orange. Interested schools can register their interest via our Expression of Interest form.

26 June- Clarence High School short film screening 'Pocket Forest' + 'The Power of Activism'  - E.T Smith Hall, Clarence High School.  


July

19th July - Cat Management in Clarence- Community Information Session #1 - Lauderdale Hall 2-5pm. For the community of Clarence City Council to learn about the threats domestic, stray and feral cats pose to human health and the environment, to promote responsible pet ownership, and to provide practical activities that can be undertaken by Landcare groups and individuals to monitor and control feral cat populations. RSVP through the event page (note the venue has changed to Lauderdale Hall due to the Sandford Hall being used for voting).

23rd July - Monitoring Bats on Your Patch: Tools for Landcarers - Webinar.  Discover how to survey bats in your area and decipher their calls with Dr Lisa Cawthen, Bat Ecologist and Trainer from Faunatech. This interactive 2 hour online session is full of tips and tricks to undertakea bat survey and the basics of bat call detection. 

27th July - Clarence High School + Bellerive-Howrah Coastcare - Community Planting Day - Bellerive - If you live in the Bellerive-Howrah community you are invited to this family/community friendly event. Please RVSP for time and location details.

Priority invitations are given to local members and those who have registered interest. If places remain, registrations will be opened up to the wider membership and then to non-members.
