The Understorey Network Tasmanian native plant nursery will have its first Saturday opening for 2025 on Saturday 15 March. The nursery is located in Tolosa Park, Glenorchy.

We have an amazing range of plants suitable for autumn planting. The first enclosure at the nursery houses grasses, sedges and other plants of similar habit. We also have a new range of wetland plants in this area. In the shade house you will find an expanded range of ferns and rainforest plants. The main yard holds small trees and shrubs, a variety of groundcovers and climbers and eucalypts.

Volunteers will be on hand to assist with plant selection and purchases. Free municipality plant lists will be available so please ask a volunteer for the list for your municipality on arrival.

The Understorey Network’s publication “Guide to Growing Native Plants in Tasmania” will also be available to purchase.
