Wildcare Friends of the Henty

Join us for a day of weeding Montpellier broom on the beautiful Ocean Beach Trail. Most of the flowering broom plants this season have been removed (roughly 2800 so far), but there is still some work to do. We will meet at the Ocean Beach Trail Carpark at 9am and walk to the end of the track where the main infestations are (roughly a 30 minute walk). Please bring a raincoat and warm clothes, as well as some sturdy shoes and long pants (very important as we will be wandering off track).

If you are planning on coming along, please make sure you have signed up as a DPIPWE volunteer. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete. https://app.betterimpact.com/Application?OrganizationGuid=aa3c186c-ebde-4f84-9091-6abaef6dc2be&ApplicationFormNumber=1

From Strahan, follow the C250 until you reach the signposted turn to Ocean Beach. Turn here to stay on the C250, following the dirt road until you reach the sign marking the Ocean Beach Trail (approximately 800 metres). Follow this turnoff to the carpark.

Hope to see you there!
