The Friends of Mosquito Point meet on the Huon River at the end of Helen Street in Ranelagh at 10am on the third Sunday of each month.

The group is working to protect and improve riparian habitat composed of critically endangered black gum woodland, improve river access for the local community, and encourage low-impact recreational use.  

Work includes brush cutting, hand weeding, rubbish collection, planting, chatting, and morning tea consumption.
