We are doing a "look and listen" in the forest near Dobsons Flats at the end of Lowanan Rd in Gunns Plains this Sunday.

There are a number of planned clearfells in the Leven catchment and we need to find the natural values that may not have been recorded yet.

It is a chance to walk through some amazing bush and get a greater understanding of the forest types, special flora and fauna in the area, nesting sites, dens etc and to learn how to measure and record natural values.

We will set up motion cameras, measure tree sizes and hollow density, extent of forest communties and look for known species of significance and catch up with each other.

Bring binoculars, gps, sturdy footwear, and warm clothes.

NB The forest is close to a road so not too much walking but tracks are rough.
