Late National Tree Day planting on Davis Flat Reserve in Margate

Aims of the project: Tramway Hill Landcare Group, with the assistance of Landcare Australia and Kingborough Council is coordinating this community planting. Native plants will be planted below heritage stones walls to link a wildlife corridor, increase habitat and create a barrier between the walking track and the walls. Once the planting has been completed and mulched a fence will be erected to segregate the walls and habitat from the walkway.

Directions: 3 choices of walking/riding tracks to access the reserve:

1. walking track near end of Rollins Rd (off Nierinna Rd) - follow the horse-riding signs. Please adhere 'no parking' signs. This is the steepest access track.

2. walking track near end of Brook Lane (between driveways 12 and 14) - this is the flattest access of the 3 and includes a bridge crossing.

3. walking track off Dayspring Drive (between driveways 23 and 25)

Suitable for Children: Yes (with adult supervision)
