Nominations are now open for Landcare Tasmania's three new categories of recognition for outstanding contributions to Landcare. These Awards will be presented at a special reception at Government House on Friday 25th October.

If you or someone you know has done those extra yards for Landcare, consider nominating in one of the categories below. These are all new and being offered for the first time in 2019 to celebrate 25 years of Landcare Tasmania.

Roll of Honour

For long term Landcarers or others who've made a great contribution to local Landcare. Winners will receive special recognition for their achievements.

Criteria: A person who has made a long standing or significant contribution to a local Landcare group may be accepted for entry on the Roll of Honour.

In addition, any person who has been active in a Landcare Tasmania member group for a period of 25 years, and whose nomination is supported by the group, may be accepted for entry on the Roll of Honour.

Honorary Life Membership

Recognising unique contributions to Landcare through their work with Landcare Tasmania. Winners will be rewarded with a Lifetime Individual Membership including all the usual membership benefits.

Criteria: A person who has made an outstanding contribution to Landcare Tasmania, or to the community Landcare movement, over an extended period of time.

Tasmanian Premier's Landcare Award

Tasmanian_Government_Support_Logo_-_Colour_vertical.jpgThis prestigious Award is being offered for the first time in 2019 will recognise innovation in Landcare and land management. 

CriteriaA person who is a Landcare Tasmania member, or current or past participant in community Landcare who:

◘ Is well recognised as an innovator in changing management practices; or
◘ Has provided inspiration to the community to adopt sustainable land management practices; or
◘ Has built widespread knowledge, understanding or engagement in the community of Landcare or of sustainable land management.
