There are 3 types of membership with Landcare Tasmania.

Community Landcare is the community network including care groups, landowners and managers, and individuals who are committed to improving the health of our natural and working landscapes. Membership with Landcare Tasmania runs by the calendar year, renewing on 31 January annually.

1. Group Membership:

Group membership ($40 annually) is available to groups of people large and small, incorporated or unincorporated, as long as their aim is to improve the health of our natural and working landscapes.

Community Groups: Landcare, Bushcare, Coastcare, Wildcare, "Friends of" groups, or other groups of volunteers whose principal aim is to improve the health of our natural and working landscapes.

Property-Based Groups: Landowners and managers whose aim is to improve the health of natural and working landscapes, while involving friends, family, and/or people from the wider community as volunteers.

School Groups: Groups within or associated with a school, working with students on environment, land management and sustainability education and activities.

Becoming an individual member of Landcare Tasmania is an easy and practical way of showing your support for community Landcare – but it’s a lot more as well.

Individual Membership Benefits:

  • Member-only email updates, including grant notifications
  • Eligible for funding opportunities, including the Tasmanian Landcare Fund
  • Member-only email updates, including grant notifications
  • Member Outreach events, and opportunities for networking and occasional skills training
  • Discounted tickets to our Tasmanian Community Landcare Conference and Awards (every 2 years)

Three levels of Individual Membership are available:

  • $40       Regular member
  • $120     Landcare champion - show you really care!
  • $1,200  Life member - the ultimate show of support! Plus lifetime access to all our member benefits

3. Associate membership: 

Associate membership is open to organisations such as businesses, councils, government agencies and other community groups and people who do not meet the requirements of being a community care group or an individual member. Membership benefits include:

  • Acknowledgment and branding opportunities
  • Access to funding opportunities, including the Tasmanian Landcare Fund
  • Member Outreach events, networking and occasional skills training opportunities
  • Discounted tickets to our Tasmanian Community Landcare Conference and Awards (every 2 years)
  • Members-only emails, including grant notifications
  • Collaboration opportunities

Membership Agreement

By becoming a Landcare Tasmania member you agree that you will:

  • (Groups) Notify Landcare Tasmania of any Landcare events run by the group prior to the event. You can do this online using the button in the Members Toolbox, or send us the details by email.
  • Ensure the safety of yourselves and others involved in Landcare activities including conducting a safety/risk assessment for all group activities. Please click here to view Landcare Tasmania’s safety guide.
  • Not purport to speak on behalf of Landcare Tasmania or other Landcare groups without permission.
  • Ensure communications including social media are respectful and correct and that they will not bring the name Landcare into disrepute.
  • Read communications that are directed to you (or your group Primary Contact, in the case of Group Memberships).
  • Respond to reasonable requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Seek approval from the relevant land owners / managers prior to conducting any activities.
