Herbert Staubmann - Habitat Plants
Herbert studied horticulture in Launceston and worked as a landscape contractor in the northern midlands during the late 1980s. Working on revegetation projects in the rural landscape he found a need for a more diverse range of Tasmanian native plants.
So, Herbert and Sally started ‘Habitat Plants’ a small business that comprises a plant nursery and revegetation services. They work on revegetation of stream banks, roadsides, wetlands, mine sites, building construction, farm shelter and public spaces…
They provide project planning and advice, contract growing of plants, and coordination of on-ground works.
There are many pieces that must be brought together to lead to a good revegetation outcome.
Good quality seed is one of them.
