Tassie's Big Trees -
Why protecting our unique forests is good for the climate, biodiversity and our own lives
Jennifer Sanger, The Tree Projects and Tasmanian Climate Collective
Tasmania has some of the most remarkable trees in the world. Our forests are globally unique, but we undervalue these precious places, leading to their unnecessary destruction. This presentation will highlight why Tasmania's big trees, and the mature forests which they inhabit, could be a powerful answer to the climate and biodiversity crises. We will explore what the future could hold for our forests, and how we can manage our forests that will benefit both the environment and our regional communities.
