Tamar NRM was formed in 1998 with the financial support of the three Tamar Valley Councils and aligns with the priorities and goals of communities and Councils.
Founded on collaborative partnerships, Tamar NRM delivers community-based activities and projects focused on biodiversity, weeds, sustainable agriculture, sustainable living, and environmental education in the Tamar Valley region of northern Tasmania.

Nick joined Tamar NRM as Program Coordinator in 2020, and since then managed a range of collaborative projects with partners, volunteers, and local councils such as Business Leaders Lunches, Sustainable Living Festival, Weed Action, Big Tree Plant, Cultural Diversity and Farm Discussion Groups.
With a diverse career spanning education, community development, business support and agriculture, Nick brings his experience with the Cradle Coast Authority, Northern Tasmania Development, the University of Tasmania and the Tasmanian and Farmers and Graziers Association to his role with Tamar NRM.
He has been a resident of northern Tasmania since 1996, and now lives in Launceston after spending 20 years on a Deloraine farm. Nick enjoys international travel, writing novels, telling grandad jokes, spending quality time with family and exploring Tasmania by motorbike.
