Ragwort Removal at Great Lake - Derwent Catchment Project

DO YOU 4WD, BOAT, FISH OR CAMP AT GREAT LAKE? 

 JOIN US FOR A WEEKEND RAGWORT (WEED) REMOVAL WORKING BEE SPONSORED BY HYDRO

WHEN: 2nd-3rd FEBRUARY 2019 9am-4pm Saturday, 9am-1pm Sunday

WHERE: Elizabeth Bay, Great Lake

- meet at Elizabeth Bay at 10am if travelling in by 4WD (on shore south of Howell’s Neck)

- meet at Boundary Bay boat ramp (just south of Liawenee) at 9am for boat travellers (Inland Fisheries Service providing boat transport to/from site, weather permitting)

ACCOMMODATION: We have booked the Inland Fisheries Hostel at Liawenee (on Friday and Saturday night) which has accommodation inside and the option to camp outside. 4WDer’s working at Elizabeth Bay may also elect to camp there.

FOOD: We will provide lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch Sunday as well as drinking water.

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR? Sturdy shoes, long trousers, long sleeves, beanie, raincoat, jumper, sun hat, gardening gloves (if you have some handy).

PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL BE WORKING ON ROUGH STONEY GROUND AND BOAT TRIP OVER CAN BE ROUGH ON YOUR KNEES
