IMG_7825_lr.jpgSeptember 2020

Landcare Tasmania is seeking expressions of interest for Directors to fill casual vacancies on our Board.

This an exciting time for community Landcare in Tasmania. Despite the difficulties and disruptions of 2020, community Landcare is continuing to grow strongly and Landcare Tasmania is playing a leading role in empowering local communities to become actively involved, and and supported, in addressing the environment and sustainability challenges they face.

This will require Directors with commitment and passion, and skills in key areas needed to envision, create and guide the future of community Landcare in Tasmania.

Landcare Tasmania's Board is responsible for ensuring the proper management of the affairs of our organisation. The Board consists of 7 Directors, each with a normal term of 3 years for a maximum of 2 terms. Positions on the Board are honorary. You'll be playing a lead role in shaping Landcare Tasmania's strategic direction, brand and reputation, and financial sustainability over the coming years.

The Landcare Tasmania Board is skills based and, for the next period of our development, we are particularly seeking to complement the existing suite of Director skills with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following:

  • Marketing, promotions and communications
  • Fundraising in the not for profit sector

Expressions of interest from women are particularly encouraged.
