Funding Opportunities

Our funding and grant opportunities are sought from a wide variety of sources, including donations to our Tasmanian Landcare Fund, private grant programs, as well as federal, state, and local government grants.

You can access these opportunities by submitting a Project Proposal to our Project Bank. This ensures your project is ready for consideration in our annual grant rounds, as well as any one-off or externally funded opportunities that may arise.

How it Works

Submissions to the Project Bank will be considered for all our funding opportunities, listed below. You won't need to specify which grant you'd like to apply for; we’ll match your proposal to the most suitable funding opportunity.

Annual Grants for Members

The Tasmanian Landcare Fund (TLF) supports all of our programs, including much-needed grants directly to Landcare members. Since 2004 we have run annual grant rounds to support on-ground Landcare projects from this fund.

To be in the running for the next round TLF grant round, simply become a member and submit a Project Proposal to the Project Bank. When the next round opens, we will shortlist Project Proposals in the Project Bank and invite those shortlisted to complete a full application for a TLF grant.

Our Landscape-scale and Community Outreach Projects

Each year, we focus on a specific region—such as a river catchment, bioregion, or geographical area—and deliver on-ground projects, information sessions, and training workshops that aim to restore landscapes, build skills, and strengthen community connections.

Through our Project Bank, we identify common themes and geographical clusters of member projects and ideas. This allows us to address local issues on a broader scale, target funding where it's most needed, and plan our projects to support the efforts of Landcare groups and landholders across Tasmania.

Want to be involved? Your project, Landcare group, school, organisation or property could be included in our future projects. Just sign up to become a member and submit a Project Proposal to the Project Bank.
