Landcare in the news: Brinks Link weeding bee

Kingborough Chronicle have reported on the excellent weeding work of Tramway Hill Landcare Group in November.

The group undertook weeding of scotch thistle, slender thistle, blackberry and dock on the Brinks Link track near the Margate Rivulet/Nierinna Creek.

The group also secured stakes and guards, and inspected the area for the extent of weed invasion and are intending to liase with Kingborough Council for support.

Unfortunately flowering ox-eye dasies were distributed extensively and unable to be tackled.
"The group's report from the day noted the Margate Rivulet was flowing well and part of the riparian zone was inspected." the chronicle reports.
Thanks to everyone from Tramway Hill Landcare Group for your hard work!
