Landcare Tasmania 2016 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Landcare Tasmania will be held on Friday 9 September in Hobart, and is also an opportunity for members to become more involved in building community Landcare in Tasmania.  The AGM will receive the financial and other reports of the 2015-2016 financial year, and also elect a new General Committee for the following 12 months.

It's that time of year again - the Landcare Tasmania Annual General Meeting.

Landcare Tasmania is an incorporated body under the Associations Incorporations Act 1964. In accordance with the Act, the AGM will be held on Friday 9 September in Hobart. The AGM will receive the financial and other reports of the 2015-2016 financial year.

The AGM is also an important opportunity to offer your skills and experience to shaping the future of Landcare in Tasmania.

This will be through the election of a new General Committee. The role of the General Committee is to set the strategic direction of the organisation. An Executive Committee is elected from the General Committee to provide oversight of the operations of Landcare Tasmania.

Up to 13 people can be elected to the General Committee. This must comprise one member from each telephone area code (62..., 63..., 64...). Up to 3 positions on the Committee can be held by individual members of Landcare Tasmania - the balance must be nominees of a member group. Only current financial members of Landcare Tasmania are eligible to vote at the AGM.

19 August - Deadline for receipt of notification of any motions to be put as Special Business to the meeting
