We will be returning to a Spanish heath infestation near the road head above Bluff Beach. This will be a follow up to previous visits over the past 2 years. We will be working in bushland making use of plenty of eyes to locate regrowth plants.
We can also tackle sea spurge which still recurs at a couple of spots at Bluff Beach.
If the weather looks warm then you may want to enjoy a swim and a picnic at Bluff Beach after. People can leave earlier if needs be.
What to bring: The site is bushland with plenty of jackjumper nest, so sturdy footwear and long trousers, sun hat, drink, lunch and swimming togs.
Bluff Beach is a beautiful area, so come along and enjoy the scenery while we tackle these pesky weeds! If you haven't been to Marchwiel before, there's only one road in and out (off Burnt Hill Road) so just keep driving past the old Falls Festival site until you reach the farmhouse and sheds backing onto Bream Creek.
