We will be having our first planting! After clearing and preparing the site, we now get to plant it.
Meeting at 12noon at the pedestrian bridge, end of Central Ave, Moonah. If you have a good pair of gloves, please bring them. Also BYO cup. This is our first small reveg project. We’ll have some morning tea half way through and hope it’ll be a nice opportunity to meet and get our hands a little bit dirty. Thanks to Glenorchy City Council for the plants and stewardship.
If we have a few people then we’ll also be doing a rubbish cleanup along the nearby banks. Recent reports from the lower rivulet are that our cleanups have made a noticeable dent in the amount of rubbish flowing out to Risdon Rd. We also heard that a platypus was recently spotted near here with a rubber band embedded around its neck. It was thankfully caught by an expert and the band removed, but if you needed a reason to come and help cleanup, there it is.
