Action planning session highlights

Our recent feral cat action planning session in Sandford brought together South Arm Peninsula residents, local experts, and partner organisations for a practical, collaborative session on feral cat management. This was the second part of our community engagement feral cat project, building on from our Community Information Day at Lauderdale Hall. 

6 May 2025 | We are delighted to announce the launch of the Decision Guide for Stray and Feral Cat Management in Tasmania 2025.

Thanks to consultation with stakeholders, we have identified that a major barrier to effective cat management is the difficulty in knowing the best way to manage stray and feral cats on different land tenures across Lutruwita/Tasmania.

22 October 2024 | With a focus on the agricultural and environmental impacts of feral cats, community members came together this month to talk about managing feral cat populations in the Meander Valley.
