Update: Membership Fees and Categories

18 Nov 2024 | Landcare Tasmania's Board has agreed on a new membership fee structure for 2025. There has been a small increase in the base membership fee from $40 to $44. The biggest change is around making Associate Membership accessible to a broader range of organisations, businesses, and other entities by creating a tiered fee structure for this category, with the lowest tier starting at $44.

TLF Plant Grant Returns for 2024-2025

06 Aug 2024 | Following the success of our first TLF Plant Grant (2023-2024), we're thrilled to announce another round of funding for the upcoming year (2024-2025). This grant will be offered to Landcare Tasmania members who have an existing project in the Project Bank awaiting support for plants as a component of ongoing works.

Learning about threatened plants on your Land

25 July 2024 | Did you know that of the 718 species listed as threatened in Tasmania, 68% are plants?
Tasmania's unique landscapes are home to a multitude of rare and fragile plant species. Nearly a third of our threatened plants are endemic to our island state - found nowhere else on earth.

Do you know if you have any threatened plants on your land?
Plants are more likely to go unnoticed than animals, and we don't know the true extent of many of our threatened plants, or have current management plans for many of them, or even know how to propagate many of them for conservation. For land owners and managers - you could be the lucky stewards of a rare plant population without even realising it.
