Tamar NRM has a trailer spray unit available for hire by community groups in the West Tamar, Launceston and George Town council areas.

This workshop will provide training in use of the unit, with an emphasis on weed control in sensitive coastal environments. Issues covered include:

• Practical demonstrations of equipment
• Weeds of the Tamar valley
• chemical use for control of weeds
• Hazards, risks and keeping yourself and the environment safe
• Procedures, protocols and the law
• Alternative control methods
• The Tamar NRM equipment loan scheme
