Friends of Maatsuyker Island
Friends of Maatsuyker Island (FOMI) works in partnership with the Parks and Wildlife Service to maintain the cultural and natural heritage values of Maatsuyker Island, home of Australia's southern-most lighthouse.
Our activities include:
- assistance with the development of management strategies and works programs
- historical heritage preservation and maintenance
- nature conservation
- weed eradication
- assisting with the Maatsuyker Island volunteer caretaker program
- running day trips by boat for visitors to see and experience this remote island and south-west Tasmania
