Russ Trust

Russ Trust manages 110 acres of conservation covenant land in Melukerdee Country. The land includes 25 acres of niten plantation that we are harvesting and regenerating over a few years.

We are growing local natives from seed and purchasing plants from nurseries specialising in natives to replace the plantation.

Activities include:

Planting natives and covering them with guards

Harvesting trees (with chainsaws) and burning the branches to clear the ground for planting

Weed management - foxgloves and thistles

Due to busy work and family schedules, we don't have particular times for doing these things, but we are more active between April-October when the weather suits burning and planting. We welcome nature lovers and helpers - feel free to use the contact details above if you'd like to be involved.
