Catchment Action Planning Day - Lower Meander Sub-Catchment

Do you live, work or volunteer within the Lower Meander sub-catchment? If so, we would like to invite you to our Catchment Action Planning sessions to help plan catchment-wide actions to enhance natural capital!

Join Stuart Cowell, Managing Director from Conservation Management, along with fellow Landcare members, landholders, stakeholders and supporters in the Lower Meander sub-catchment for a collaborative planning session! These catchment action plans will help us understand, prioritise, manage activities together and apply for additional support (funding and expertise).

Together we will:

  • Apply the international Conservation Standards framework to our planning
  • Reflect on past achievements
  • Share maps, documents & insights
  • Identify priorities and opportunities
  • Review recent Marxan and REM spatial priority mapping of the Lower Meander sub-catchment
  • Plan next actions to improve catchment health
  • Bring together common activities

What is Conservation Standards (otherwise known as Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation)?

The Conservation Standards is a globally used framework that helps conservation projects stay strategic, science-based, and effective. It guides teams through setting goals, identifying threats, planning actions, tracking progress, and adapting to ensure real, lasting impact.

Not sure if this event is for you?

We'd love to have input from anyone who has been involved in enhancing catchment health in the area.  You might be a landholder, Landcare group member or do work in the area that relates to land management. Still unsure? Check in with us via [email protected] and we'll help find the best option for you.

Not in this catchment?  Please fill out a register of interest form. We want to expand the project to new catchments and we need to know where to go next!
