Growing the Network: Protecting and Maintaining High Conservation Value Areas

Hobart Sustainability Learning Centre

Mount Nelson

June 27, 2026 at 10:00am - 2pm

A warm invitation to all land managers, land owners, farmers and community members in Tasmania to come and learn about protecting and maintaining High Conservation Value Areas in the South of Tasmania (HCVA's)*.

If you are interested in how natural capital supports biodiversity, climate resilience, water quality, farm productivity as well as national and international biodiversity targets, then come and learn about ways to protect these special areas and support for their maintenance.

This event brings together Landcare Tasmania, the Private Land Conservation Program, Tasmanian Land Conservancy, and Conservation Landholders Tasmania with land managers across Tasmania to support and strengthen the network of people caring for High Conservation Value Areas (HCVAs).

*HCVA includes areas with threatened species & vegetation, healthy intact vegetation, riparian areas, wetlands and vegetation linkages within the landscape. This event is for people caring for both covenanted and non-covenanted high conservation value areas.
