The maintenance of the work done to date on the islands to remove boxthorn and mirror bush in coastal and island habitats

Methods

Follow up to control regrowth and regeneration as required. More regeneration is expected following primary control and this decreases with time generally. There can be spike of regeneration associated with some weather which encourages germination of seed in the soil. We undertake working bees of about 2 weeks with 10 to 12 people allow TPWS has restricted our works in 2020 to 10 people due to Covid restriction
