• Further primary removal of Blackberry on the Southern side of China Creek, contractor to’ cut & paste’ isolated outcrops of blackberry (some are in grassland) approx. 1 ha. • This project will increase the area of Blackberry controlled at Jacks Flat Reserve, Southern Beaches Landcare/Coastcare has been caring for this area since 2000. A large number of trees, shrubs, sedges and grasses have been planted at Jacks Flat since 2000. No further revegetation is required. There have been sightings of Bandicoots and bird nests in the reserve.

Natural Values

An ephemeral creek 'China Creek', that has a number of waterholes in it that provide habitat for frogs and water for wildlife. Southern Beaches Landcare/Coastcare (SBL/C) has planted numerous indigenous plant species, since 2000 (first planting part of Olympic Landcare), creating habitat for wildlife.
