The PBDCG has designed a native duck ID booklet with the Derwent Estuary Program using a grant from NSW Wildlife Information Rescue & Education Service (WIRES). The booklet is aimed at absolute beginners. Rather than another complex identification guide for those already aware of native ducks, the booklet will serve as an introduction to the fact we have lots of native species. The booklet aims to promote interacting with ducks through watching and learning about them, making a game out of trying to find them all, rather than interacting through feeding.
