Work in partnership with Huon Valley Council to build a walking track from Franklin to Huonville. Our landcare group was instrumental in starting to construct this walking track 12 years ago. Huon Valley Council has recently called for community input in relation to the continuation of the track all the way to Huonville.
Methods
Provide input to HVC's community engagement meetings, work with HVC staff and councillors, and lobby State parliamentarians to make the project a reality.
Natural Values
A raised timber walking track will allow our group to access and eradicate weed infested area - gorse, crack willow and blackberry.
