We would like to establish nesting sites for threatened species such as Swift Parrots and Masked Owls throughout the Lymington/ Cygnet Peninsula. We have landowners across three landcare groups in this area who have large established trees but which might not be old enough to support nesting hollows for these threatened species. We would run a series of community workshops to build the nesting boxes and then engage a local tree climber contractor to place the boxes in the appropriate trees.
