China Creek flows from the forested hilltops in Forcett into the Lewisham foreshore, and despite neighbouring some of the area's oldest grazing properties, it has retained natural values that are are becoming a rarity in our region - mature white gums, blue gums, black gums, riparian vegetation and eastern barred bandicoots. Southern Beaches Landcare/Coastcare has worked hard over 25 years to restore China Creek behind Jack's Flats Reserve, and now we are aiming to continue our restoration work downstream and add to weed control works completed in 2015 and 2019.
