Achievement Plans
We will fence off an area to plant an orchard using regenerative farming techniques, and plant a shelterbelt of endemic species. We will have a workshop including our very active local Permaculture Group on the value of shelterbelts and techniques of regenerative farming, including looking at the use of biochar to improve soil health.
Methods
We will build the fence, plant the shelterbelt trees, and plant the orchard, part of these activities will overlap with the workshop. Subject to interest levels we will have two or three workshops.
Natural Values
Both flora and fauna natural values, eg providing habitat for bird species, and revegetation of local endemic shrubs and trees.
