Achievement Plans

After the 2016 flood the Mersey River valley was severely damaged. The bridge at Liena was washed away and banks were eroded. Rehabilitation earthworks have left a large area of exposed river rock used to buttress eroded earth banks. We propose to revegetate this rock to stabilise it and to prevent overgrowth of weed species.

Methods

A combination of direct seeding and planting of seed stock.

Natural Values

Reintroduction of native plant species, vegetation of earthworks, stabilization of the river bank.

Amount

$1k - $5k
