The Friends of Sharpes Road swimming Hole hope to rehabilitate the popular local public area in order to; 1. reduce weeds and improve the number of native plants on the river bank to slow erosion. 2. return the pool to it's original deeper water level to assist in reducing water temperatures. 3. create a haven for breeding fish, native birds, rikali and platypuses. 4. re-establish vital habitat in times of drought or low water flow. 5. Provide a thriving deep river pool for enjoyment and recreation for all.
