Clarence Seed Propagation Workshop
Seed Propagation Workshop
Note: This event is only open to residents within the Clarence municipality
Come along and get wild about natives at a native seed collection and propagation workshop in Clarence!
Date: 4th December 2021
Time: 10am - 12:30pm
Location: Rosny Public Library,
46 Bligh St, Rosny Park 7018
Free of charge, however registration is mandatory. We are expecting this event to fill up quickly!
Please bring a styrofoam box to put your seedlings in (the styrofoam will help to keep your seedlings insulated as they grow). Your local grocery shop is a good place to ask for them - they get their produce in these boxes and will otherwise just throw them away.
All other materials will be provided.
Learn from our expert, Ruth Mollison, about how to propagate native plants using a simple method designed for backyards. The workshop includes growing plants from seeds, as well as how to collect, clean and store your own seeds.
Participants will be able to take home their propagated seeds*. As this workshop will show you, growing plants for your Landcare site is easy, inexpensive and very satisfying.
* If you are unable to take these plants home, we can make arrangements on the day.
So come along and enjoy a hands-on learning experience for novice and experienced Landcarers alike.
This project is funded by the Clarence City Council.
