SOLD OUT!
Landcare Tasmania's Recognition Awards will be presented at 2023 Awards Dinner.
Nominated amazing Landcarers are celebrated and recognised for their efforts and contributions towards healthy landscapes in Tasmania.
Dinner is catered for by Spring Bay Mill and we are thrilled to have Mark Horstman to MC our Awards Dinner for 2023.
Mark is a self-confessed science voyeur. He likes to watch people much smarter than himself and tell science stories about them.
Armed with a degree in tropical ecology from Queensland, he’s enjoyed multiple careers. He’s campaigned with environment groups to protect World Heritage forests, reefs and rivers. He’s worked with Aboriginal land councils doing research to support Caring for Country programs. He trained as a cadet journalist to become a science reporter and documentary-maker for ABC-TV and Radio National. And in recent years, fortunate to travel south several times, he’s a polar nerd communicating science about Antarctica and the Southern Ocean.
An award celebration and dinner experience not to be missed.
* Nominations for Landcare Tasmania's 2023 Recognition Awards are now closed.
*Are you looking for the National State & Territory Landcare Awards? These awards are run by Landcare Australia and have been postponed. We anticipate that the National awards will be offered in 2024. In response to this situation, we have expanded our local Tasmanian Landcare Recognition Awards this year.
